wow it's been a while....

three days, in fact. i forgot my power cord at home and my computer ran out of battery sunday night. i was unable to blog even though i had other access to computers for the following reasons:

1) i started a post on ryan's mac but i felt guilty blogging on a mac...like i was cheating on my little thinkpad, and that's never good.
2) the atmosphere in columbia computer labs simply did not provide me with enough intimacy with my work that my laptop does.

anyway, i'm back. but while i have you feeling bad for me, i'd like to review what a tough tough semester i've had:

1) my computer battery was recalled in september...leaving me relying solely on my powercord for weeks...WEEKS.
2) my cell phone broke in half not long after...i had to ROLM people for a WEEK. pathetic.
3) i lost my wallet on halloween...and haven't had my ATM card since.
4) this whole power cord incident left me "technologically distant" for....a day.
5) that's it.

in other news, my only class was cancelled today so i did a bit of shopping...shiny red shoes, cream puffs, and finally ryan's birthday present.
