they mate in the water but give birth on land or on ICE FLOATS...so cute!
the males do little dances in the water to try to attract females...(i made part of this up)
a male walrus has one of the largest penis bones in the entire world (natives like to make knives out of this bone...)
if a mother senses danger while she's cuddling with her baby on the ice, she'll pick the lid up with her flippers, hold the calf to her chest, and dive into the water...such a good mommy!
